Is the trial class really free?
Yes. New students try a class for free, and during Try It 'Tober current KICK students can take one extra class free. Tuition only applies if you decide to enroll in regular classes.
Who can take part in Try It 'Tober?
New students, current KICK students (one extra class free), friends of KICK dancers, and adults in our designated adult classes at the Oceanport studio.
Do we need any dance experience?
Not at all. KICK specializes in beginner dancers of all ages. (Premiere, Connections and Edge level classes are for experienced dancers and require approval by email before attending.)
What ages are eligible?
KICK has classes from caregiver-and-me for little ones (from 6 months at Oceanport, 12 months at Fair Haven) through teens, plus adult classes at Oceanport. Each class has its own age range, so tell us your dancer's age on the form.
How do we choose a class?
Fill out the Try It Class form with your dancer's age and the classes they're interested in. A member of the KICK team will reach out to help you pick the right class and schedule it. You can also call (732) 383-5301.
Is my class confirmed when I submit the form?
Not yet — submitting the form sends your request. A member of the KICK team will reach out soon to schedule your child's class.
What should my child wear?
Each class has a dress code. Most young dancers wear a leotard and tights with the right dance shoes, and Tiny Stars dancers can wear leggings and a t-shirt. Ask the KICK team when they call to schedule your class — all required shoes and dancewear are available at KICK.
Where are the studios?
KICK Fair Haven is at 611 River Rd, Fair Haven, NJ 07704, and KICK Oceanport is at 700 Oceanport Ave, Oceanport, NJ 07757. Both have off-street parking. Programs and schedules vary by studio.
Can adults take a free class?
Yes! During Try It 'Tober, grown-ups can try Adult Line Dancing (Tue 7:30 PM), Adult Hip Hop (Wed 7:30 PM), Adult Tap (Thu 9:30 AM) or Adult Ballet + Floor Barre (Thu 6:30 PM) at our Oceanport studio.
Are there any days without classes?
KICK is closed on Saturday, October 31 — Happy Halloween!
